Get ready for season 3 of Cars and Coffee Darien.

In 1979, Goodwives Shopping Center, specifically the Lock, Stock & Barrel Restaurant, was the starting point for the last official Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash – the real-life cross-country race that inspired four Hollywood movies including two that starred Burt Reynolds. Goodwives Shopping Center was also the starting point for the first Brock Yates’ One Lap of America race – the successor to the Cannonball.

We think that makes the location the perfect spot for Enthusiasts to share their passion for all things automotive.

Cars and Coﬀee Darien is the only regularly-scheduled full-season event of its type in Fairﬁeld County. It is also the only cars and coﬀee in the entire United States with any connection to the Cannonball race. In our two years of doing this, our smallest crowd was 65 cars. Our largest event – the annual Cannonball Reunion – gets over 225 cars with between 600-700 spectators of all ages from all over the US, the UK and Germany.

As in prior years, all of gatherings take place on the second Sunday of the month except for the April event, which will happen on the third Sunday of the month so as not to conflict with Mothers Day.

For 2025:

We will be running a full 8-event schedule. We will be starting in April and ending in November. Note that the April event will be on the 3rd Sunday – the weekend after Mother’s Day – while all the other events will be on the 2nd Sunday.
We will have more capacity. Regency Centers, the owners of Goodwives Shopping Center, have allocated a larger area for us this year that will allow us to accommodate at least 300 exhibitor cars.
Events will have a specific theme.
We will be awarding trophies (which can be sponsored) for each event.

Looking at the map, all Sponsor booths will be located in the first two rows of the parking area, immediately adjacent to the check-in area (solid red box). They are the yellow boxes in the shaded red area. Sponsor and staff parking is the green shaded area. Trailer and truck parking is available.
